The Mercedes SLR McLaren 722 was just replaced by the 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series last night as the king of the Stuttgart automaker. Not because it’s more powerful or more beastly, but only because Mercedes will end its relationship with McLaren and the SLR will be no more.
The AMG 5.5L V8 supercharged engine producing 650-hp will always have a special place in our heart. With a 0-62 time of 3.6 seconds it still stays ahead of the new SL 65 AMG Black Series.
Check out this matte-black Mercedes-SLR McLaren 722 spotted Europe with Bahrain license plate. A metallic SLR McLaren 722 with Dubai plates stands right in front of it.
